2-14-09 Sat. This is an update on my on going issues with grizzly concerning my G6760 Milling Machine. As of last Monday 2- 10-09 I have received authorization to return the Mill to Grizzly, all shipping will be paid by Grizzly, that is both ways.

The motor fried on my X6320A/Grizzly G6760 mill. Started making noise, removed it, tightened up the pulley (which I though was making the noise. It wasn't), re-installed the motor, wires previously labelled clearly and hooked up the same way.

Grizzly machines may look "just like the Jet machine," but I stronly suspect there is a good reason the Jet costs more money. When I bought my Jet mill about 16 years ago, I looked at Enco as well. The pictures in the catalogs might have looked the same, but when I actually saw the machines, the Jet was obviously a far better machine than the Enco.

The Sherline is a very sweet machine but in milling size counts. The 8689 Grizzly machine is both larger and heavier than the Sherline so it wins on that count hands down in my book. The 1005Z that Toolman links in his first reply is very similar to the one I have.
